Park & Recreation Commissioner Michael Weinstock

Each September since 1984, the Park and Recreation Commission of the City of Buena Park sponsors the annual Memorial Grove Ceremony in Boisseranc Park.  The ceremony honors an individual who made a significant contribution of time and/or service to the community during his/her lifetime.

On Saturday, September 15, 2007, we honored the memory of Ken Jaquette.  His name was added to the memorial plaque and a tree was planted in his memory.

Ken Jaquette (1953-2004) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He moved to California with his family at the age of 16.  At the age of 26 he met his wife, Connie, and they married 8 years later. Ken, and his daughter, Renee, and Connie were delighted when son, Michael was born.  Some years later, they adopted Dylan and Sayrah.  Ken quickly learned how important family was.  When friends and family would be gathered, he would tell his kids what a rich man he was and would always say “it just can’t get any better than this”.
