Your first water and trash bill may be received anywhere from two to 62 days from the start of service. Your meter will then be read on approximately a 60-day cycle, and you will receive your bill within ten business days after the date of meter reading.


California Senate Bill 998 (SB 998) requires urban and community water suppliers to have a written policy for discontinuation of residential water service. The City’s policy, adopted by Resolution No. 14097, is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Korean

There will be a service deposit on your first bill of $35.00.

If you believe the City has made an error in your bill, or if you question your obligation to pay the bill, you may contact the Water Customer Service Office at (714) 562-3721 within 15 days of the billing date.
