Programs and Events
As a division of the Community Services Department, the Cultural and Fine Arts Division is committed to providing engaging programming for Buena Park residents of all ages, identities, and abilities in a welcoming and open environment. From live music and theatre to visual art and cultural excursions, we strive to celebrate the rich and multi-faceted diversity of our community. Through the support of City Council and the Cultural and Fine Arts Commission, we are able to offer free or low-cost activities and events that allow members of our community to access and enjoy art and culture. Returning for their fourth year, the Cooperation Act (Co.Act) is a non-profit organization run internationally by students that aims to provide support to students in need around the world. This show is centered around the theme of peace and features artwork from students across the United States and Korea. This show will run from November 16 to January 12, 2021 in the City Hall Council Chamber located at 6650 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, 90621. Appointments, masks, and small groups are required to view the show. Please call (714)562-3868 for more information or to book an appointment.

The City of Buena Park invites K-6 students who live in Buena Park or attend a Buena Park school to participate in the 45th Annual Elementary Art Show! The theme will be People and Places in my Neighborhood. Student work will be accepted from January 4th to March 9th.

Artwork must be by students who live in Buena Park or go to school in the Buena Park School District, Centralia School District, Savanna School District, or Buena Park schools.

Artwork must be matted or mounted on matboard (no glass, or 3-D works will be accepted).

Digital submissions are accepted and will be printed! Please e-mail your pictures to FineArts@buenapark.com!

Six submissions maximum per student.

Please include a half-sheet of paper attached to the back lower right corner with the student's name, the title of work, grade, school, parent name and contact information as well as teacher name and contact information

Not open to after school art programs or private instruction classes.

A special category has been added where students can submit digital pieces for a chance to have their art on a utility box! Please e-mail FineArts@buenapark.com for details or questions. Click here for the template. Other categories are by grade.
