Get Ready for Gardening Season in Buena Park!
The Community Garden is located on Thelma, west of Knott Avenue, under the Edison Right of Way. The garden was established to create a facility for Buena Park residents, who are short on yard space, to grow vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers. The garden is used by community members who enjoy gardening as a hobby, and to also provide fresh produce for their families. In order to provide this for the community, commercial growers are not permitted to occupy garden plots.
Buena Park residents may rent a large plot (30' x 20') for an annual fee of $80, medium plot (20' x 20') for $65 or a small plot (15' x 20') for $50.
Current Gardener Renewal - September 7 - September 30. All plots must be in compliance with all garden rules to renew. Plots must be renewed by September 30 or will be issued to a new gardener. Gardeners must show photo ID.
New Gardener Registration: October 5 (beginning at 7:30a.m.) - October 28. New gardeners are issued gardens on a first come-first served basis. Gardeners must show a photo ID with current address to prove Buena Park residence. Gardens will not be "held" for patrons. New gardeners must not currently have a garden in their name or at their current address. New gardeners will be allowed to register for 1 plot. Gardeners assume the plot "as is" and must be sure that plot conforms to all garden rules.
Garden registration takes place in person at the Buena Park Community Center, 6688 Beach Blvd.
