Buena Park Library District Reading Program - The Buena Park Library’s Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults will begin on Monday, June 15th and continue until Saturday, August 1st.  This year the Summer Reading Program will be offered completely online. Although the format of our Summer Reading Program has changed, the goal remains the same – offer a free program designed to encourage and facilitate interactive and engaging opportunities for our community members and support literacy through the summer. 

Disney Nature - Learn about all the wonderful things nature has to offer with Disney Nature!

NEW! Educational Games - These games are for grades pre-K through 6th. This will allow the kids to be engaged with school subjects and have fun.

Harry Potter At Home - The Wizarding World presents Harry Potter At Home! This online portal features puzzles, video content, articles, and includes free access to the audio book of the first installment in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Kids Fun with Miss Karen - Our very own Miss Karen, Play School Instructor, is bringing cheer to your kid’s day!  Miss Karen will be hosting Zoom activities for kids generally pre-school age, but all are welcome!  For Zoom meeting information, please email Miss Karen at Karenh92801@yahoo.com.

NASA Stories - Enjoy and explore at least 35 different stories about findings and adventures across the Solar System.

 Mrs. Milch's READ WITH ME! -  Join Mrs. Leslee Milch as she reads some picture book favorites!  Leslee Milch, M.S., is a National Board Certified Teacher, Early Childhood Generalist and is a Reading Specialist for the Buena Park School District and on the Board of Directors for the BPSD Education Foundation.

Orange County Fire Authority "Summer Story Time" - Starting Thursday June 4th, Orange County Fire Authority is launching a four-week "Summer Story Time" on our Facebook page. These videos will be posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m., to give your family time together with our Public Information Officers and Community Education Specialists. Geared towards preschool and elementary aged students, our team will be reading fire safety and drowning prevention books, not only for entertainment but to help you and your children learn how to be safe.

Play Well - Play Well is live on Facebook every Tuesday and Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. PST, featuring different STEM lessons.

Prince George's County, MD - Public Library system hosts live bi-weekly book readings that are followed by an interactive sing-a-long sessions for kids ages 2-5. However, it is great for everyone as well. 

ReadWorks - ReadWorks is a non-profit dedicated to providing tools and resources to help both teachers and students improve reading comprehension. They are currently providing some important online resources to help families transition into remote learning.

Time for Kids - For 23 years, TIME for Kids has published a weekly magazine for elementary school students.  This website features age-appropriate stories kids are excited about, information just for kids that explains the world around them, and instructional materials that are aligned to Common Core and state standards

Be Internet Awesome - This website educates kids about literacy and online safety. The program offers FREE resources for educators and families to learn about these topics with a family guide and pledge, online safety coloring books, and simple online tips. The program features an interactive game, Interland, that reinforces internet safety concepts for kids in a fun and engaging way. its available globally in over 28 countries and 15 languages.
