Beach and Orangethorpe Mixed Use Project

Construction has begun on a new approximately 500,000 sq. ft. retail, office, restaurant, hotel, and entertainment complex on the 12.5 acre site at the northeast corner of Beach Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue to be known as “The Source”. The development will be a Buena Park landmark creating a premier destination featuring a wide array of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The multi-story development will feature unique and energetic contemporary design with state-of-the-art electronic imagery. This dynamic and exciting environment will bring a fresh combination of businesses to Buena Park and create a whole new experience in the Center of the Southland.

The Source Phase 2 Tower
Developer of The Source, M+D Properties, proposes a Phase 2 development to include a 187 ft. tall mixed-use building with 250 residential condominium units and 11,900 sq. ft. of commercial just north of the existing Source Mall along Beach Boulevard and Melrose Street.  Click to view conceptual architectural plans.  City Council will review these conceptual architectural plans during a study session on Tuesday January 9, 2018.
