Chief Corey S. Sianez is the City of Buena Park's ninth Chief of Police and was appointed to office in March 2011. He has reached a career milestone of 40 years with the department.
He is a well-known member of the Buena Park community, sitting on numerous committees and being an active member of organizations influencing law enforcement and the community.
Chief Sianez manages the Administration Division which handles the overall business of the police department and is the "behind the scenes" catalyst for the day-to-day details of the organization.
Captain Gary Worrall commands the Operations Division, mainly comprised of the Patrol Bureau and has the most visible employees of our department. The primary mission is to proactively reduce criminal activity and increase the quality of life for the community. This is a 24/7 operation and referred to as the "first responders", and includes employees from Patrol, Crime Impact Team, Canine Unit, Gang Unit, Jail, and the Mounted Enforcement Unit.
Captain Frank Nunes commands the Support Services Division comprised of highly skilled professional employees serving under the Administrative Services Bureau and the Investigations Bureau. This includes Detectives, Forensic Specialists, Communications, Records, Information Technology, Property and Evidence, Crime Prevention/Community Relations and the Volunteer Programs.
