On March 11, 2011, the City of Buena Park appointed Corey S. Sianez as its ninth Chief of Police.
A native Californian, Chief Sianez began his law enforcement career at the age of 21 with the Buena Park Police Department. During his steadfast career of 37 years, he has risen through the ranks serving in various specialized assignments including Motors, SWAT, Burglary, Robbery, Homicide and Internal Affairs. Additionally, he served as Captain in both the Operations and Support Services Divisions. After 37 years, he remains true and faithful to Buena Park.
Additionally, Chief Sianez has continued his education, earning his Master's Degree in Public Administration from National University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and completed several leadership courses including the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute program, the Police Officers' Standards and Training Command College Class No. 37.
