The City of Buena Park Community Services Department offers a wide variety of recreation, sports and cultural activities, senior programs, services and events for all age groups. It is responsible for maintaining and developing all public parks & facilities as well as the Walter D. Ehlers Community Recreation Center, the Department's Administrative Offices, as well as providing graffiti removal services to the entire community.

In addition, the Department provides residents with current community information through the Buena Park Today city news and activity guide, delivered to all households every quarter.
