Children Arts FestivalCHILDREN'S ARTS FESTIVAL
FRIDAY, APRIL 23RD, 2010
3:30PM - 7:30PM

The Childrens Arts Festival provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to enjoy a day discovering the arts together. Hands-on arts activities and free performances from student and professional artists on various stages at Ehlers Recreation Center provides a delightful celebration of the rich cultural traditions that thrive in our own backyards!

This year, the Cultural and Fine Arts Division hosted the Second Annual Junior High Art Show. This event gave junior high school students (7-8) recognition for their artistic abilities by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their work to the community. This year’s theme was “Go Green! Celebrating 40 Years of Earth Day”. Students were invited to submit artwork that encourages recycling, conservation and celebrates earth friendliness! Ribbons and prizes were presented to the winners in each grade level at the Festival Main Stage. All participants were also invited to attend and join in the Festival activities before the presentation.
