The City of Buena Park is “Helping 100 Businesses for 100 Days”-for FREE
Posted Date: 6/24/2010

The City of Buena Park is being pro-active in working with their business community and learning how to adapt and grow. They have teamed up with OPIS Network, the originators and facilitators of this landmark 100-days program, which has been used with great success by the City of Santa Ana twice this year and is scheduled to be conducted by several more cities in 2010.

“Businesses are facing some of the most demanding challenges they have ever seen,” says Norm Bour with OPIS Network. “Those that are following the ‘old rules’ will have a much more difficult time surviving until the economy rebounds, and they must be pro-active to maximize their potential.”

Advice in these demanding times is not always easy to come by, but the City of Buena Park and facilitator OPIS Network have developed a program that provides not only a blueprint for success but the tools to implement these business-changing steps.

Helping 100 Businesses for 100 Days will be held on July 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Heritage Hall at Walter Ehlers Recreation Center, 8150 Knott Ave, in Buena Park. Heritage Hall, just recently opened in September 2009, offers a terrific venue for city sponsored and private events. Admission is free for the workshop, and lunch will also be included for the first 100 attendees to sign up at www.help100days.com , or by calling (714) 300-5855.

The workshop will highlight a 10-point strategy that will help business owners develop a competitive edge, find and create new affiliate channels for marketing exposure capital, learn the time trends for this new decade and remain competitive in a technology-driven global economy. From those attending the workshop, 100 businesses will be selected to develop new strategies and break old habits over the next 100 days via in-person and remote instruction. The training, which consists of three live classes and six on-line sessions, is also free to participants.
Dave Naidu, president of OPIS Network will once again be conducting this workshop along with Mayor Art Brown and City Manager Rick Warsinski welcoming on behalf of the city.
