Buena Park, Calif. – “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today,” a famous man once said. Prepare for your future by attending “Buena Park Goes to College” on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Ehlers Event Center, 8150 Knott Avenue.

Parents and students of all ages are invited to attend this free workshop to learn about what it takes to go to college. Attendees will explore the college systems, find out how to apply for financial aid, and meet directly with college and university representatives. The event will be packed with valuable information for anyone wanting a post-secondary education. Plus, a raffle at the end will give away Knott’s Berry Farm tickets and a Kindle Fire 7.

“Learning should never stop throughout one’s life,” according to Buena Park City Councilwoman Beth Swift, who has a Doctor of Education degree from USC.  “Going to college is an excellent way to continue learning and to challenge yourself to do more than you think you can. I have found that completing a degree unlocks opportunities to learn new skills and put them in practice, earn a higher salary, and fulfill the ideal of being all you can be.”

This workshop is sponsored by Buena Park Rotary Club and Buena Park High School in conjunction with Congressman Ed Royce.
