  • Study Sessions are a less formal part of City Council Meetings where Council Members discuss and analyze general topics of interest related to the City and provide direction to staff on how to proceed. Items supported by a majority of Council are then prepared for formal presentation and discussion at a City Council Meeting and voted upon at that time. Topics vary and may include annual reports, project updates, and internal policy recommendations. Study Sessions occur at the end of formal City Council Meetings, are open to the public and the public may comment on any Study Session item during the time the item is being discussed by City Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 5 p.m.
  • The Planning Commission consists of seven members who are residents of the City that have an interest in the development of the City. The Commission reviews and approves site plans, permits, alcoholic beverage sales, and variances.  The Commission also serves as a special advisor for City Council and will make recommendations on rezoning, development agreements, Zoning Ordinance changes, and much more. Planning Commission meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m.

Residents can watch live coverage of these important meetings on BPTV Channel 3 for Spectrum Cable customers and Channel 99 for AT&T U-verse customers.

  • City Council Meetings are aired live on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Study Sessions will air directly following the Council Meeting beginning Tuesday, October 24.
  • Planning Commission Meetings will air live on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. beginning November 8 (unless a meeting is adjourned.)
