CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERING COMMUNITY CHOICE ENERGY
Join our Virtual Town Hall Meeting to learn more and provide feedback.
Buena Park, Calif. - The City is considering a plan to provide Buena Park residents and businesses with a choice of higher renewable energy at competitive rates. Community Choice Energy is more local control over how the community's power is generated. The best part is: the choice is yours.
Community Choice Energy permits California cities and counties to purchase electricity on behalf of their communities. For many decades, Southern California Edison has been the sole entity that has acquired power for Buena Park. However, the CCE’s purchasing power introduces competition into the energy market, providing customers with a choice, where none currently exists. City Council is considering a plan that will provide customers with a choice of lean power, clean power, green power, or remaining with SCE for power service.
No matter what option you choose, the Buena Park community would enjoy shared benefits from Community Choice Energy including: local management and control, higher renewable energy, and competitive rates.
