The Buena
Park Senior Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Evening
hours vary. The mission of the Buena Park Senior Center is to provide
the mature adult population in the community with a diverse offering
of recreational, educational, social and human service programs in environments
which promote a spirit of dignity and limitless potential for later
life enrichment. Our goals are to enhance quality of life, nurture talents
and skills, foster social interaction, and support independence and
self-determination. The Senior Center newsletter, "The Key",
is published monthly and is available to pickup at the Senior Center. Or download a copy here.

BINGO
Games are held Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 3pm. The cost
is $.25 per card with grocery items for prizes.
DANCE
“Swing Into The Night” For some of the best “Big Band” music around
each Saturday evening from 7 to 10pm at the Senior Center. A $6.00 admission
charge entitles you to dance to music, enjoy refreshments and even be
eligible for door prizes.
GIFT
SHOP
The "Senior Sampler" Gift Shop is open year round, Monday
through Friday from 10am to 2pm. The public is welcome to purchase

OUTREACH
An Outreach Worker will acquaint you with the many services at the Senior
Center and connect you with county wide programs. Call for an appointment.
MEALS
ON WHEELS
Meals on Wheels of Buena Park will deliver meals to your home Monday
through Friday for a nominal fee if you are homebound and unable to
prepare your own meals. Volunteer drivers are always needed for this
program.
MEDICAL
TRANSPORTATION
If you are need of transportation to medical appointments, call (714)
236-3874 for registration and information. Must be over 55 and a Buena
Park resident. One dollar fee each way.
SENIOR
DAY CARE PROGRAM
The Senior Day Care is designed for frail seniors over 60 years of age
who are in need of supervision and care during the day while their caregiver(s)
work or take time for themselves. The program is offered 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. The fee is a $15 donation per day. Call

SHUFFLEBOARD
Five shuffleboard courts are available for play at the Senior Center.
The Shuffleboard Club enjoys competition with other senior centers,
mobile home parks, etc. League play is on Tuesdays 9am - 11:30am with
practice on Thursdays 9am to 11:30am. New members are always welcome.
T.L.C.
(Nutrition Program)
The T.L.C. Nutrition Program is more than just a meal. It gives seniors
the opportunity to enjoy a hot, well-balanced, nutritious meal in the
company of other seniors. Stop by any morning, Monday through Friday
and enjoy an interesting speaker, entertainment, or maybe a special
party. Lunch is served at 11:45am for a $2.50 donation. For more information

TRAVEL
A wide variety of travel opportunities are available with the "Happy
Wanderers." Trips range from day trips to longer excursions. Sign-up
on Tuesday mornings at the Senior Center. Call (714) 236-3870 for additional
information.
VOLUNTEERS
The Buena Park Senior Center has a strong and vital volunteer program.
Application and Job Descriptions available at the front desk. Interested
and qualified volunteers may register with the R.S.V.P. program of the
Volunteer Center of Greater Orange County.
